The macropores are combined with the micropores in the hydrophilic polyurethane biological carrier. The macropores maintain good contact conditions of gas, liquid and solid. The micropores are used to immobilize microorganisms. The micropores contain amino groups, carboxyl groups, epoxy groups, etc. Hydrophilic active groups can form ionic bonds or covalent bonds with some active groups in the microbial peptide chain to firmly fix microorganisms and biological enzymes on the carrier. Therefore, the survived microorganisms are not easy to be lost under the shearing action of water and gas.

The biofilm can not only sit in the microbial carrier in a large amount, maintaining good activity and void variability, but also during the operation process, the gas is driven by the three-dimensional flowing sewage, collides with each other and is continuously cut by the microbial carrier in a peristaltic state. Small bubbles increase the utilization rate of oxygen and reduce the amount of aeration.

Main advantages of hydrophilic polyurethane sponge Filter:

1. Rich porosity and large specific surface area, which is conducive to the reproduction and growth of microbial flora on its surface, and occupies a small area.

2.The combination of physical adsorption and positive and negative charge attraction has good hydrophilicity and high biological activity, making the film hanging speed fast, and it is an excellent biological filler;

3.The pores of the filler are connected, the pores are large, the dead zone is less, and it is not easy to cause blockage.

4.Due to its own hardness, the filler has the function of cutting bubbles and blocking the formation of bubbles, increasing the contact area of air and liquid, and improving the utilization rate of oxygen.

5.It sinks and expands in case of water, easy to add, good wear resistance, low loss rate, long service life and high cost performance.
